INTERCLEAN Innovation Award entries
The deadline date for entries to this year’s ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award, which will be presented during the Amsterdam exhibition this April, is fast approaching. Entries must be in by January 22, according to the event organizers.
Open to all exhibitors, these awards will be subdivided into three categories.: machines, accessories and components; equipment/tools for cleaning, care and safety; and cleaning services.
All entries will then be evaluated by the jury and thereafter the shortlist of finalists announced. The winners will then be presented with their prizes on the first day of the exhibition during a special ceremony.
As well as assessing the innovative qualities of products, the jury will take into account whether it offers opportunities for increasing turnover and margins, makes working more pleasant or improves quality.
Every company taking part in the competition is entitled to pay an entry fee, which will be donated to the African Medical & Research Foundation (AMREF) Flying Doctors charity. Organiser Amsterdam RAI is sponsoring the project in Mtwara, Tanzania aimed at providing accessible water and sanitary facilities. The inhabitants of Mtwara will actively participate in the project by organising educational events in order to draw more attention to clean water, healthcare and hygiene for everyone.
Chairman of the jury is Michelle Marshall, editor of European Cleaning Journal. Other jury members are Reinhard Knittler of Reinigungs Markt in Germany, Paolo Pellizzari of Pulizia Industriale e Sanificazione in Italy, Anton Duisterwinkel of TNO in the Netherlands, Dick van Zomeren of Service Management in the Netherlands, Ton van der Riet of Senzora in the Netherlands, Rob Geissler of the USA and Guillaume Taslé d’Héliand of Batiment Entretien in France.
