As part of its continuing corporate sustainability strategy, cleaning machine producer Tennant Company announced the sponsorship of the Climate Action – a multimedia platform that aims to encourage businesses and large organisations to reduce their carbon footprint.
Comprising a website, newsletter and annual publication, Climate Action is produced in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). It also puts forward the business case for climate change – namely that environmentally responsible operations can also be profitable.
Commenting about this sponsorship, a spokesperson from Tennant said: “With this sponsorship the company is substantiating its corporate sustainability strategy. Our award-winning innovative technologies are totally aligned with our drive to offer to the market environmental cleaning solutions.”
Launched in Bali in 2007, enhanced for Poznan in 2008, the third edition of the Climate Action publication was produced for the recently concluded COP 15 which took place in Copenhagen in December 2009. It had a controlled distribution to over 30,000 key decision makers within business, government and institutional investment communities.
