Musanada to spend AED 80 million for school maintenance and facility management programme
 

Musanada has announced that ithas awarded three contracts with AED 80 million to Brookfield, Imdaad and Cofely Besix; to assist the Abu Dhabi Education council in a comprehensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing programme for schools across Abu Dhabi.The issuing of the contracts, which will span three years, forms part of the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s (ADEC) far reaching initiative to develop infrastructure in schools.

As such, three specialized companies were selected to perform the necessary maintenance of schools and educational facilities across the Emirate. Musanada’s CEO, H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Fahed Al Mehairi stated: “Musanada has sought the expertise of three leading international companies that are well established in the area of facility management. The contracts have been awarded to the three companies which we believed will deliver on our commitment to ADEC of providing Abu Dhabi with world class learning environments, and a leading education system by 2030.”

Brookfield Multiplex will provide services for 112 schools across the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, while Cofely Besix, will be responsible for the maintenance of 98 schools across the two cities. The third awarded company, Imdaad Equipment will offer its services to 114 schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and across the Western Region. All companies have been contracted to provide services across the fields of mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Musanada has placed the contractors on a programmed maintenance system,that will periodically asses the exact time and cost of each operation, in order to ensure that strict deadlines and budget requirements are adhered to.

Director of Facilities Management at Musanada Abdulla Al Dhaheri said: “We seek to work with companies that are experienced in regards to customer service in the UAE and who show a strong commitment to health and safety standards. By awarding these contracts, Musanada seeks to contribute to raising the standard of services currently provided to schools which is in line with Abu Dhabi 2030.”
