Tatjana Ahmed, Housekeeping Manager, Grand Hyatt Dubai, outlines why housekeepers across Asia should attend the upcoming International Housekeepers Summit.
The International Housekeepers Summit is in its 2nd year and has gained great popularity. Under the umbrella of the Asian Housekeepers Association, Housekeeping and Laundry Groups and Associations from 11 different countries get together to make this event a great success and memorable. The summit is organized by the Clean India Journal in association with the Asian Housekeepers Association.
As an event, it promotes the interests of the housekeeping profession and builds a solid platform for the exchange of information and ideas. It also promotes leadership, education, resources and opportunities within the trade. It has become increasingly obvious that Housekeeping Professionals need to meet on a larger platform to discuss the ever changing needs and wants of customers as well as to talk about the new technologies that are evolving everywhere.
Summits are a very good ground for exhibitions, too. Suppliers can showcase their products, and samples for testing are aplenty. Live demos of new machines and technology are a great break to panel discussions. The 2nd International Housekeepers Summit will include a fashion show during the gala event on the evening of the 8th September, which brings the latest trends in style and colours and the opportunity to network with all delegates and buyers from across Asia.
Guest speakers will also motivate, stimulate and educate. And, meeting your peers from other countries is a great experience, too. We mostly find out that we have the same challenges. Discussing ‘Energizing the Synergies’ will help find solutions - housekeeping, procurement, laundry and management are all set to create that synergy. Moreover, an exclusive vendor meeting will enable direct interaction between vendors and buyers. So please join us at the upcoming International Housekeepers Summit 2017.
