Sweeps, scrubs and dries in one operation
The BR and BD 100/250 ride-on scrubber-driers from Kärcher make it possible to sweep, scrub and dry in one operation. The BR 100/250 has rollerbrushes and the BD 100/250 has a disc brush. These battery-powered machines have a sweeping attachment that saves one work operation and therefore time and money. They are particularly suitable for use by factories, retailers and contract building cleaners. Local authorities and the logistics sector will also find them useful.
The BR or BD 100/250 has all the functions of a sweeper and they can be switched on and off easily from the control panel. The main brush works on the throw-over principle to ensure best possible utilisation of the capacity of the two 30-liter dirt containers. Larger objects are picked up via the coarse-dirt flap, which is opened by a foot pedal.
Unique in this class of machine is the pivoting brush bearing. Parallelogram suspension enables it to adjust to floor unevennesses and inclines. The main brush and side brushes always stay in contact with the floor, thereby ensuring an even cleaning result. The suction motor and rot proof circular filter prevent dust formation. The automatic filtercleaning system keeps suction performance constant and permits uninterrupted working.
At 2.73 metres long, the unit is comparatively compact, yet it is designed to clean large areas. Its working width while scrubbing is 1,000 mm, while the fresh and dirty water tanks each hold 250 litres. The powerful drive unit can cope with inclines of up to 12 percent.
With the help of new FACT drive technology, the roller brush rotation speed can be adjusted to the surface to be cleaned. The single knob operating system with which all Kärcher sweepers and scrubber-driers are now equipped makes the machine even easier to operate, with fast, straightforward selection of all scrubbing, polishing and drying functions. An electronic cleaning agent dosing system is available on request. The required quantity of cleaning agent concentrate within a range of 0.5% to 4% can be fed in via two ten-litre containers. This enables the operator to react to different levels of grime while the machine is running.
