Latest examples of the market-oriented automatic scrubbers "Made in Germany" are the extremely agile, hand-guided automatic scrubber RA 43/55 B/BM 40 with or without driving motor, the ride-on automatic scrubber ARA 66/80 BM 100 and the vacuum cleaner ST 7.
For regular daily cleaning, Columbus presents an ideal vacuum cleaner – the extremely compact and high performance ST 7. Its ergonomic design and very low noise level of less than 65 dB (A) and strong vacuum of 290 mbar makes it easy to use even over several hours without tiring. Innovative features such as a quick change power cable, fleece filter bags, integrated park position and space-saving accessory holder prove their worth in daily use. The new ST 7 perfectly meets the special cleaning needs of buildings, hotels, the catering trade, health services, municipalities and small businesses.
Even more efficient, quick, and reliable – those are the user requirements for the routine cleaning of stores with narrow
gangways and till areas, of smaller multipurpose halls and medium-sized production sites, or of clinics. The perfect answer to these requirements is the Columbus ARA 100 ride-on scrubber with a working width of 66 or 80 cm and a length of only 138 cm, optimally designed for transport in all current lifts. Both models have a large 100 l solution tank and a 115 l recovery tank. The drives and battery can be accessed in just two steps through an innovative swivel mechanism, ensuring easy maintenance even when the recovery tank is full. The extremely small turning circle of 1.85 m means the ARA 100 is ideal for use wherever there is little space. To ensure the smooth, continuous running of the ARA 100 they have come up with a robust mechanical solution rather than electronics.
Extremely manoeuverable, easy and ergonomic to use, quiet and very efficient on all smooth, flexible and structured floors: these are the advantages of the low-cost automatic scrubbers RA 43/55 B 40 and RA 43/55 BM 40 in the Columbus compact line for cost-effective cleaning of small and medium-sized surfaces – for example in gymnasiums, pool sites and multipurpose halls, industrial facilities, hospitals, care homes and public buildings. All service-related equipment components are easily accessible enabling quick and tool-free changeover or cleaning. Innovative turn-away rollers protect the machine and surrounding furniture.
The electrical forward drive of the RA 43/55 BM 40 is easily activated by an innovative rotary handle integrated in the drive bar, enabling speeds of up to max. 4.5 km/h. Batteries of 70, 85 or 100 Ah ensure long working cycles. The powerful suction motor removes the recovery solution from the floor without leaving residues. The solution tank is easy to fill, the recovery tank can be emptied in stages as well as being simple and hygienic to clean. Furthermore, disinfection of the recovery tank with replaceable cover gasket fulfils the requirements of the HACCP hygiene regulations for professional equipment used in food-processing establishments.
