HAKO and PowerBoss strengthening Viking Gulf’s grip on regional market

Viking Gulf Trading is witnessing an upward spiral in the distribution of its range of industrial sweepers and scrubber driers in the region, especially Hako scrubber driers and PowerBoss sweeping machines, according to company reports.

The company has reportedly made its first delivery of sweeping machines in Afghanistan. It has delivered a TYMCO Model 600 HSP Runway Sweeper, intended for use by the US military in the country.

Through its branch in the Sultanate of Oman – Gulf Anbar Trading, Viking Gulf also delivered several units of PowerBoss cleaning machines to OIG in the sultanate. The Royal Court Affairs in Seeb has been supplied with two 10X and two 9XR PowerBoss units, while the Royal Palace in Sohar has also confirmed two orders for 10X PowerBoss units.

Henrik Mahaini, Viking Gulf Trading, director of sales and marketing, told Clean Middle East magazine that sales for the HAKO Scrubber Driers are shooting up. “So far, we have sold a large number of B100R, B650R and B70CL HAKO  machines to Cedar Turnkey Projects for use in Lulu and Carrefour hypermarkets in Oman,” said Henrik.

Serve U, a provider of facilities management services in the region has also opted for and purchased HAKO and  PowerBoss machines for its Index Tower project in the DIFC in Dubai. The HAKO and PowerBoss machines are said to ideally cater to the contract cleaner’s sweeping requirements and it has been earmarked to enhance the regional FM service industry. “PowerBoss is a durable and cost effective sweeper, manufactured with a heavy-equipment design criterion to meet even the rigorous industrial cleaning requirements for indoor and outdoor sweeping tasks,” said Henrik. The PowerBoss sweepers not only meet green cleaning standards, but they also provide more features specifically dedicated to industrial applications and environments.

They come with features which include all steel construction for tough industrial environments; a rotary trash relocator (RTR) to maximize hopper capacity while improving sweeping time; manual swing engines for provision of full maintenance access to the entire engine, fast combination sweeper/scrubber which enables one machine to
double its productivity.
