Domestos, the UK-based cleaning chemical brand and one of Unilever’s key Home Care brands held a community clean-up drive as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts for Ramadan, reports Zawya. Domestos volunteers cleaned more than 150 toilets within the worker’s accommodation in the Mayar Worker’s Village, located at Dubai Industrial City. Domestos UK has partnered with UNICEF for the last six years to support their programmes and help those living in areas without adequate sanitation. This local effort in the UAE reflects a desire to improve the health and hygiene of local communities and underlines the brand’s ambition for further growth in the UAE. The activity has also been inspired by the Dubai Government’s Health Strategy 2016-2021, that is working towards a healthier and happier community, with one of its specified goals to protect and improve population health.
